The B&F Story
Today The Budo & Fitness Stores is the leading chain of Martial Art- and Fitnesstores in Scandinavia with stores in 15 cities and mailorder.
Our first store was born in 1992 from the fact that people walking past our Sportsclinic and salesoffice on their way to the large gym nearby would stop and ask our sales staff if they could purchase nutritional supplements from them. After a while realizing the increased demand after trainingproducts we started to set up a small store, only about 10 sq. meters. The store grew and grew, after 2 years the rumour had spread so much that we had to move to a bigger nerby space and also carry a wider range of products, such as clothing and accessories. We moved 20 meters to a store of 80 sq. meters, and it was from there the store grew and became a professional fitness store. At that point we named it "The Health & Fitness Store".
The start of the first Budo & Fitness Store. Since Pierre (the founder) has studied Martial Arts most of his life (since 1975), was it not a big step to take when the owner of Budo Nord (at that point the largest chain of stores and oldest domestic brand of Martial Art supplies) approached Pierre and asked if he wanted to take over the business/store. This was actually a dream come true, to be able to combine booth "Budo/Martial Arts" and "Fitness" under the same "roof". The concept of "Budo & Fitness Stores" was created by actually putting together the old Budo Nord store with our existing Health & Fitness Store. The new store took off as a rocket and doubled its sales over and over again! The Budo & Fitness concept developed and was refined during the coming years to become a chain of stores with the goal to offer the highest quality and most well known brand within Budo (Martial Arts) and Fitness (Bodybuilding, Weight training and Aerobics) with a outstanding service, well located stores and at good prices.

Pierre started with Martial Arts only 6 years old and have spent many times in Japan.
Pierre built his interest for fitness from his background of sportsnutrition and Biochemistry.
